⭐ How to Make Taco Crumbles
1. Cook the Bean Base (NO grains yet)
Bring 2 cups water to a simmer. Add the Bean & Spice Base only. Simmer 8–10 minutes until thick like chili.
2. Cool the Mixture
Let cool 15–20 minutes until warm.
3. Add the 9‑Grain Binder
Stir in the 9‑grain packet dry. Mix until it forms a thick dough.
4. Chill Overnight
Refrigerate 8–12 hours to firm up.
⭐ 5. Make Taco Crumbles
This is where the magic happens.
Option A — Skillet Crumbles (best texture)
Break the chilled dough into small pieces with your hands. Heat a skillet with a little oil. Add the crumbles and cook 6–8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned.
Sprinkle in 1–2 tbsp taco seasoning and cook 1 more minute.
Option B — Oven Crumbles
Break dough into small pieces. Spread on a baking sheet. Bake at 400°F for 12–15 minutes, stirring halfway. Season with taco seasoning after baking.
